• Disaster Relief Assistance is avalible on HVAC-Talk. I jumped on the TrueSteam ship when they came out, so in 2009 I purchased one. Never again will I get one. These things require so much maintenance it's not even worth it.

Constantly cleaning the water sensors, changing out the filters, and now I get the 4-red LED message of death (overheat). I contact Honeywell and they say it's still covered under warranty, but I gotta have a licensed plumber come to my house and verify, then order another one. What a hassle. I installed this unit myself with no problems.

I just hate to spend the money on a service charge for something under warranty (no offense to you HVAC guys). Sorry, just ranting here. It's a TrueSteam HM506DG115 if that matters any. Mine has been flawless. Soft/softened water, maximum interval of flushes, and proper sizing of the unit makes a huge difference. Even with that it should be maintained at least annually - we have several that we do at the same time as the heating maintenance at the beginning of the heating season. Other than hard water related failures the main issue that we have seen has been the water sensors cracking.

The 'new' black sensors were supposed to solve that - time will tell. It's expensive to operate, but I don't get shocked from my carpet, I no longer get winter nose bleeds, and my bamboo floor is happy, too. A History Of Archaeological Thought Pdf Viewer. Another issue to consider is the application.

If the humidifier is being used to band-aid a leaky house, which is the norm, you will be much more likely to have service/satisfaction issues with it. The first step to any humidifier installation should always be testing the house to determine its humidification requirements, and address the issues that are causing the humidity problem, ie. Duct leakage, big holes in the pressure envelope, etc. Fixing the house will greatly reduce, or even eliminate, the need for humidification, usually solves a number of other comfort issues, and occasionally has noticeable health benefits. It is also very likely to save enough energy to make up for the cost of repairs within a few years, which is a nice bonus to the other benefits. Anybody have any knowledge of this unit? I installed it 2 weeks ago and it ran fine at first. 1st time it stopped working the water tank wasn't filling up. Removed tank and reinstalled it,hit the reset button and it worked fine for a while.

Today it stopped working again. Removed tank but this time it was filled to the top with water. Phantom Cine Toolkit Keygen Idm. Reinstalled the tank, hit the reset button and it started working again. I just sent an email to Honeywell, but after reading a post on here about it having to be professionally installed and Honeywell will not help, so that was a waste of time. Thanks in advance. No I have not contacted the dealer yet. I was on the phone with Honeywell and they could not help me because I was not an 'HVAC contrator'.
